Aromatherapy

$60 per 60 minutes

Aromatherapy Massage is relaxation massage with a scent.  It is just another tool that can help relax your body.  Because the nostrils are attached to a part of the brain called the limbic system, even a faint scent or sniff can influence the central nervous system and emotions.  This can affect your heart rate, emotions, blood pressure, stress level, breathing, memory, digestion, and the immune system.  There are many types of scents but I have chosen 8 to work with so far.  They include:  Lavender, Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Sweet Orange, Grapefruit, Tea Tree, Cinnamon Leaf and Cedarwood.

Lavender: Anitdepressant, anti-inflammatory, calms, reduces headaches, nausea, nervousness, insomnia, irritability, muscle aches and spasms.

Peppermint: Decreases coughs, headaches, mental fatigue, muscle aches and pains, nausea and stomach cramps.

Eucalyptus: Decreases arthritis, colds/flu, muscle aches, exhaustion, sinus congestion, and increases concentration.  It is an expectorant, decongestant, and may be used as an antiseptic, and antifungal.

Sweet Orange: Antidepressant, antiseptic, and calms.  Used for constipation, depression, insomnia, stress, and nervous tension.

Grapefruit: Antidepressant, antiseptic, astringent, and diuretic.  Used for acne, colds/flu, depression, fluid retention, muscle stiffness, nervous exhaustion, and slack skin.

Tea Tree: Analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, expectorant, and immune stimulant.  Used for acne, arthritis, blisters, burns, cold sores, coughs, insect bites, and warts.

Cinnamon Leaf: Antiseptic, antifungal, aphrodisiac, stimulant, antidepressant, reduces drowsiness, irritability, pain and frequency of headaches, relax tight muscles, ease joint pain, menstrual cramps, and increase circulation.

Cedarwood: Antifungal, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, expectorant, calmative and diuretic. Used for acne, arthritis, bronchitis, depression, oily skin, and stress.

Chair Massage

$25 per 30 minutes

Chair massage is a great way to have a nice massage "on-site".  You sit in a specially designed chair, fully clothed, and the therapist can work on your back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, hips, and thighs easily.  Chair massages last from 10-30 minutes and generally no lotions are used.

If you have ever sat at a desk all day staring at a computer screen or answered phones, you understand the strains you feel on your entire body, especially your neck and shoulders.  Chair massage is easily done in any office and multiple employees can enjoy the benefit in a short amount of time.  Chair massage can quickly alleviate poor circulation, mental fogginess, decrease energy, sore and stiff muscles, as well as improve symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome.  Chair massage is a great way to get lots of people involved, improve your work environment and boost alertness and creativity.

Chair massage is also a great way to experience massage if you have never had a massage before!

Pregnancy Massage

$50 per 60 minutes

Pregnancy massage refers to specific massage techniques that have been shown to reduce pregnancy discomforts and to enhance the physiological and emotional well-being of both mother and child.  Many common problems such as sciatica, swelling, back and neck pain, and stomach upset can be decreased with massage.  Because massage increases circulation, you will have all of the wonderful effects of massage, not just relief from back pain.  Studies show that pregnant women who receive regular massage (1-2 times a month) are more at ease, which will relax the fetus, and create an environment of well-being for now and in the future.

Pregnancy massage is traditionally done reclining and side-lying.  I also have a "body pillow" which is designed to allow the pregnant woman to lay face down even up to 9 months pregnant.  It is a wonderful design and I have not had any problems with it so far!

Swedish Massage

$50 per 60 minutes

Relaxation massage is designed to create balance in your body.  It is a smooth, gentle style of massage that is designed to improve circulation, increase range of motion, relieve minor muscle aches and pains, reduce stress, and promote an overall feeling of relaxation.  It is not a deep tissue massage but deep tissue can be utilized during the massage if requested by the client.   Relaxation massage includes a wide range of areas of the body including the head, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, legs, feet, buttocks, and back.  My massage background is in Swedish massage which applies a firm, yet calming pressure to the body.  All of the stokes are applied in the direction toward the heart to encourage blook circulation and disposal of unwanted toxins.

Research has been shown that massage will: boost the immune system, lower blood pressure, soothe chronic joint and muscle pain, battle fatigue, ease stress, combat depression, and even comfort those going through withdrawal symptoms.

Relaxation massage is done using a table, sheets, and an unscented lotion.  All areas of the body are covered except for the area being massaged at that time.  Your comfort is always my number one priority.  Each massage is different and is based on the areas that need the most attention and your preferences.
